The photos are back! Which photos you ask? If you missed last months update we told you about the wedding photoshoot we were a part of at Nantclwyd Y Dre.
It is going to be so nice to finally have some professional wedding photos to use to market my business. The day was a wonderful experience, I met some talented people in the industry and got to see everyone work behind the scenes. The hair and makeup and everything else were fantastic!

We have been out an about creating even more wedding displays this month. We did some wedding flowers for E & H at Tower Hill Barns, a lovely venue over in Llangollen. It was an all white wedding and a very different style to other weddings I have done, so it is good to know I can step outside of my usual comfort zone. Really pleased to have so many amazing opportunities to do what I do, I never dreamed that I would be booked for so many weddings this year.
We have a wedding next year at Tyn Dwr Hall, so we were pleased when they asked us to go over and visit them. We took a lovely pastel bouquet so that we could take a few pics for the socials.

This month we did our first wedding fair at Ruthin Castle. It was lovely and we met some great contacts as always, but we are starting to wonder whether it is worth us going to wedding fairs, we are not sure if we ever get any bookings from them. It is all trial and error when you are starting up a business.

We are already starting autumn and winter prep and looking forward to the next season. Autumn is a truly beautiful time of year and a favourite for many florists. The transition of nature in autumn provides us with a fresh palette for creativity, warm deep colours, texture and foliage from a variety of plants and trees which change the aesthetic of a bouquet. There is still lots of variety on the flower field and with the weather a little cooler, we don’t have to worry so much about the summer heat on those delicate petals.

It has been another positive month and time to reflect, and look back on a fantastic summer. I loved seeing the sheep do so well at the shows, their personalities shining through!
Keep an eye on our socials as next month is a busy one with dried flower workshops, flower demonstration with Marina’s Italian Cookery, and attending our first Betws y Coed Artisan Market
Garden Tasks - Keep an eye on the forecast, and be ready to cover tender plants such as dahlias in case of frost
